Dental hygienist (Part-Time) job at STATEN ISLAND SMILE

Preventative Care Excellence: Perform precision dental hygiene therapies, including thorough cleanings, calculus/plaque removal, and targeted fluoride applications.

Diagnostic & Vital Assessment: Monitor and document patient vital signs (including blood pressure and pulse rate) and capture high-resolution digital dental X-rays to assist in accurate treatment planning.

Interactive Patient Counseling: Educate and empower patients with custom oral hygiene techniques, preventative advice, and tailored at-home care instructions.

Practice Management Tech: Manage patient health records seamlessly using Dentrix software, ensuring every chart, screening, and treatment plan is meticulously updated.

Sterilization & Safety: Command a flawlessly clean working space by sterilizing dental instruments and clinical equipment according to rigorous safety and infection control protocols.

Strict Confidentiality: Execute all daily duties in absolute alignment with HIPAA compliance guidelines to preserve complete patient privacy.

This is a fixed, permanent Part-Time (PT) position designed for excellent work-life balance. Work your shift and head into the weekend early!

Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Monday – Thursday, Saturday, & Sunday: CLOSED

Licensure: Active and valid New York State Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license (Required).

Software Proficiency: Solid hands-on experience using Dentrix practice management software for charting and digital record keeping.

Clinical Knowledge: Sound foundational mastery of dental anatomy, dental terminology, and strict health information regulatory compliance.

Regulatory Compliance: Strong, practical understanding of HIPAA regulations and office clinical confidentiality policies.

Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional patient interaction, communication, and counseling skills with a naturally warm and comforting chairside manner.
