Dental hygienist (Full-Time) job at Three Rivers Dental

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling, polishing, and removing hard and soft deposits from teeth.

Assess patients' oral health status, take vital signs, record complete medical histories, and examine the oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease.

Educate patients effectively on optimal oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and nutritional factors affecting oral health.

Take, develop, and analyze diagnosable dental X-rays (radiographs).

Accurately apply fluoride or dental sealants as indicated.

Document areas of periodontal and restorative failure to facilitate the dentist’s diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts using dental software (e.g., Oryx).

Strictly adhere to healthcare infection prevention and control expertise protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Contribute to a smooth and positive workflow throughout the dental office.

Monday - Wednesday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Thursday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Patient Load: Typically 6-7 patients per day, scheduled for 60-80 minutes each.

Current and active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.

Expertise in patient assessment, record keeping, and direct patient care.

Strong communication skills for patient health education and counseling.

Thorough knowledge of dental terminology and human anatomy.

Understanding of infection control measures within a clinical environment.

Ability to demonstrate a positive, upbeat, and team-oriented attitude.

Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office setting.

Familiarity with dental software systems such as Oryx.

Knowledge and practical use of Airflow equipment (guided biofilm therapy).

Experience assisting the dentist chairside during procedures.
