Dental Insurance Coordinator/ Receptionist (Full-Time) job at Posh Dental Arts

Job Summary:
The Dental Insurance Coordinator / Receptionist is responsible for managing front office operations while ensuring accurate dental insurance processing. This role combines patient-facing responsibilities with administrative duties, including scheduling, verifying insurance benefits, and handling billing inquiries. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and provides excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk & Patient Services:

Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments
Maintain and update patient records and contact information
Confirm appointments and manage daily schedules

Insurance Coordination:

Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments
Submit insurance claims electronically and follow up on outstanding claims
Interpret dental insurance benefits and explain coverage to patients
Assist patients with understanding treatment costs and payment options
Handle insurance denials, appeals, and resubmissions

Billing & Administrative Duties:

Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at time of service
Prepare and send billing statements
Coordinate with dental providers regarding treatment plans and coding
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and office policies

Monday: 7:30am-2:00pm
Tuesday-Thursday: 7:30am-6:00pm
Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm
Saturday-Sunday: Closed
