Dental Assistant Instructor (Part-Time) job at Dental Genius Assistant Academy & CPR

Job Summary:
The Dental Assistant Instructor is responsible for providing classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction to students enrolled in the dental assisting program. The instructor prepares students for entry-level employment by teaching dental assisting skills, safety protocols, radiology, infection control, chairside assisting, and professional development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Deliver engaging classroom, laboratory, and hands-on clinical instruction.
* Teach dental assisting procedures, terminology, instruments, radiology, infection control, and patient care.
* Demonstrate proper dental assisting techniques and supervise student practice.
* Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, skills assessments, and attendance.
* Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance documentation.
* Ensure compliance with program policies, state regulations, and safety standards.
* Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning activities.
* Provide guidance, mentoring, and academic support to students.
* Assist students in preparing for certification and licensing examinations.
* Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and instructional resources.
* Participate in faculty meetings, staff development, and program improvement initiatives.
* Promote professionalism, ethical conduct, and workplace readiness.

Qualifications:

* Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of recent dental assisting experience.
* Teaching or training experience preferred.
* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of current dental procedures, radiology, infection control, and OSHA standards.
* Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to stand for extended periods.
* Ability to demonstrate clinical procedures and operate dental equipment.
* Ability to lift and move instructional materials and supplies as needed.

Work Environment:

* Classroom, laboratory, and clinical training environments.
* Day and Night Schedule

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9 am- 12 pm & 6pm-9pm (Currently looking for instructors for the morning class)
