nurse is a professional Registered Nurse who assumes responsibility and

accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides

care to these patients using the nursing process in accordance with the

standards of professional nursing practice. The clinical nurse performs in the

professional role as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA). The

clinical nurse's roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to

providing care in the preoperative, intraoperative, and post-operative phases

of care. In the intraoperative phase of care, clinical nurses are expected to

perform the role as circulating and/or scrub nurse to meet the departmental

needs. In addition, the clinical nurse will be proficient with laser and/or

minor procedures performed in the laser/procedure room. This role has a varied

schedule that includes call assignments on nights, weekends, and holidays at

the Main OR (Ronald Regan).

Salary Range: $59.46 - $88.39

Qualifications

We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing

professional with:

  • Current

California RN license required

  • BSN or

MSN required

  • BLS from

the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required

  • ACLS required
  • Two years

recent ICU/ER/PACU/OR/Laser/Eyes experience required

  • Skill in

implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis

  • Ability to

perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments

  • Ability to

develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving

patients, family, and staff
