This recruitment offers a $10,000 Signing Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Sleep Surgery & Sleep Medicine Clinics .

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • 100% FTE
  • 8 hr Days, M-F DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Harborview Medical Center's Sleep Medicine Clinic evaluates, treats and manages a wide variety of sleep disorders in adults and children age 14 and up. Sleep Surgery is the specialty that focuses on surgery for treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in adults and children. Surgical treatments for OSA include a broad range of procedures performed in the clinic or operating room that enlarge and/or stabilize the upper airway.

  • Opportunity to provide career growth PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform complex nursing assessments; telephone triage; pre and post operative teaching and other related RN duties
  • Provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of problems relating to the airway mouth, teeth, head & neck and facial regions
  • Management of patient care, clinic flow, providing medical advice in both urgent and routine situations, and serving as a source of back-up expertise for MAs
  • Provide direct care and assist in delivering preventive client-focused health services including assessment, education, intervention and counseling related to health maintenance and other assigned duties
  • Coordinate care for medical problems related to obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and other sleep disorders including the key element of continuity of care REQUIREMENTS:
  • Active WA State or Multi-State RN License by start date
  • At least 2 years of professional acute care or med surg nursing experience ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER
