Exciting opportunity to help others, our Phlebotomist perform a variety of procedures, including venipuncture, dermal punctures, responsible for collecting and processing laboratory specimens in an accurate and timely manner, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Point of Care Test (POCT) is used in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases from patients of all ages.
Schedule: Monday - Friday / day hours
Location: Richland, WA PSC
You will:
Specimen collection, handling, and processing
Assist in maintaining laboratory areas, equipment, and supplies and must be able to run specimens from clinic to nearby hospital, multiple times a day (hospital is within walking distance)
Participate in committees and task forces
Easily adapt to new and changing roles, responsibilities, demands, and technologies
Keep current on regulatory requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Current possession of an active WA State MA-P certification, per DOH requirements for Phlebotomists in state of WA, required (certification must be made available at time of offer) and or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Completion of accredited Phlebotomy training program and clinical rotation, prefer 2 years' expereince as a Phlebotomist
Previous laboratory experience & Phlebotomy experience, including experience with pediatric age group, prefer a minimum of 2 years expereince
Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology
Ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels, particularly peers, team members, supervisors, managers, and other departments and work in a fast paced clinical environment
