Title Phlebotomist

Location Walla Walla, WA
Description Our Phlebotomist will perform a variety of procedures, including venipuncture, dermal punctures. POCT used in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases from patients of all ages. Is also responsible for collecting and processing laboratory specimens in an accurate and timely manner, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations. This Phlebotomist will collaborate with the clients and demonstrate high level of professionalism, and service.
You Will:
Specimen collection, handling, and processing
Assist in maintaining laboratory areas, equipment, and supplies
Participate in committees and task forces
Easily adapt to new and changing roles, responsibilities, demands, and technologies
Keep current on regulatory requirements
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current MA-P certification from the Washington Department of Health required
Completion of accredited Phlebotomy training program and clinical rotation
Previous laboratory experience preferred and 2 years' expereince as a Phlebotomist, highly preferred
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology preferred
Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels, particularly peers, team members, supervisors, managers, and other departments
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Self-directed, open to new learning experiences, and demonstrate teamwork, and exceptional customer service
Ability to multitask while maintaining quality and efficiency
Ability to work five shifts/week, including some weekends
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
