SUMMARY

The Echo/Ultrasound Technologist shall perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, general, abdominal/OB-Gyn, and vascular.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)

  • Perform high quality echocardiograms and stress echos and general ultrasound including abdomen and OB/GYN and vascular studies in accordance with all policies and procedures.
  • Competently set up and assist radiologist and pathologist during procedures.
  • Working with the EMR’s to generate and complete exam orders.
  • Perform, record, and analyze QC data in order to make judgments concerning the results and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning work area, and monitoring temperatures in accordance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate from an accredited school of ultrasound
  • RDCS registered, preferred or obtain after hire
  • RVT registrations, preferred or obtain after hire
  • RDMS(AB,OB-GYN) , preferred or obtain after hire
  • BLS required, or obtain within 6 months of hire
