Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for specialized fertility treatments and services. Join us and contribute your expertise to support the financial operations of our fertility clinic. Responsibilities: Review and analyze medical records related to fertility treatments to accurately code diagnoses, procedures, and services for billing purposes. Generate and submit medical claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with specific fertility treatment coding and documentation requirements. Follow up on outstanding claims and denials related to fertility treatments to ensure timely reimbursement and resolution of billing issues. Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve billing inquiries and disputes specific to fertility treatments. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for fertility treatments, obtain pre-authorizations, and calculate patient financial responsibility accurately. Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records and documentation specific to fertility treatments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and privacy laws. Stay informed about changes in medical billing codes and regulations related to fertility treatments. Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Medical Billing or related field preferred. Previous experience in medical billing or healthcare administration, with specific experience in fertility clinic billing, required. Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and Microsoft Office. Strong understanding of medical billing codes specific to fertility treatments, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and coding, particularly in the context of fertility treatments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment, especially within a fertility clinic setting. Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations, with a sensitivity to the unique privacy concerns of fertility clinic patients.
