Description Our client in the public sector is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be part of the department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: Competitive pay up to $42/hr

What's the Job?

  • Relieve an administrator of a variety of administrative and clerical detail
  • Receive, greet, and screen a variety of visitors and telephone calls and make appropriate referrals
  • Conduct special studies; prepare administrative reports; type reports and other materials
  • Assist department directors on administrative problems and procedures
  • Composes correspondence and procedural memoranda; prepares reports

What's Needed?

  • Graduation from high school and completion of 48 semester units of general education from an accredited college or university
  • Two years of responsible professional experience in relieving an administrator of assigned administrative detail, analyzing data and problems and making recommendations; and independently preparing reports
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training and experience will be considered
  • Ability to reason logically and analyze problems of organization and management
  • Ability to carry out assignments without detailed instructions; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing (or with audio and visual capacities); type 55 wpm (word processing experience highly desirable); and maintain confidentiality
