Department Support Assistant - Community & School Health Initiative
Northridge Hospital Medical Center
We are seeking a highly organized and resourceful Department Support Assistant to provide administrative and operational support for our Resourceful Adolescent Program (RAP) , a grant-funded initiative aimed at supporting the emotional, social, and mental well-being of adolescents. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment. This is a grant-funded position.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for the RAP, including scheduling, maintaining records, and handling correspondence.
- Assist in organizing program events, workshops, and meetings, including booking venues and managing logistics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of program activities, reports, and participant records.
- Prepare and distribute communication materials, such as newsletters, flyers, and emails, to program participants and stakeholders.
- Assist with grant-related administrative tasks, including budget tracking, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between the program staff, participants, and community partners, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth communication.
- Maintain office supplies, manage program inventory, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Provide administrative support for program evaluation and data collection efforts, including surveys, assessments, and outcome tracking.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the program.
Qualifications
- One year experience in healthcare or community based organization.
- Experience working with community outreach or public health preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
- High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
- BA in Public Health, or related fields preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace products, Zoom and Canva Presentation and public speaking skills.
- Knowledge of local community agencies and resources.
- Ability to organize resources and establish priorities.
Pay Range
$23.00 - $31.33 /hour
