Job Description Direct Patient Care: Rooming patients: obtaining vital signs, reason for visit, and documenting symptoms. Documenting all required information in electronic medical records. Providing injections and immunizations as ordered by the provider. Assisting during medical procedures. Obtaining patient information to meet regulatory obligations. Tracking receipt of all test results and performing POCT and quality controls. Communication and Correspondence: Using electronic medical records and task lists to complete patient visits or requests. Providing accurate information to patients and maintaining confidentiality. Completing referrals accurately and appropriately. Maintaining Patient Areas and Supplies: Disinfecting exam rooms between patients and at the end of the day. Assisting with clinic upkeep, including cleaning and supply management. Reprocessing scopes/probes and performing sterilization of instruments using an autoclave. Skills and Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required. Medical Assistant certificate required. Will consider 5+ years of recent continuous experience in lieu of certificate BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
