Under the general direction of the Occupational Health Manager, incumbent provides administrative support to the OH team and assists in the coordination of patient flow. Primary duties include but are not limited to answering high volume of incoming phone calls, greeting patients, issuing medical record numbers, scheduling appointments, encounter registration, creating guarantors, chart preparation and data entry.

Other duties include supply order entry, charge entry and filing. Incumbent will also work closely with the on-boarding, and worker's compensation teams and interfacing departments. Provides administrative support with other duties as assigned.

Salary: $29.42 - $42.14 Hourly

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a high pace professional medical clinic preferred
  • Healthcare experience is required
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate up, down, and across levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential matters with tact and care and interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients
  • Skilled in setting priorities to meet the demands of competing deadlines with ability to perform with frequent interruptions and distractions
  • Ability to manage high telephone call volume and assist callers appropriately
  • Ability to create, manage and enhance interdepartmental relationships
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a complex and matrix team environment; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs, recent experience with Epic appointment scheduling and registration applications preferred.
