Last updated: September 12, 2024

Job Listing

Title Telephonic Medical Assistant
Company Actalent
Location Hillsboro, OR
Description Description:

We are hiring Telephonic Medical Assistants to support the influx of new patients, during the Open Enrollment period. During this time frame, patients can choose to change/add coverage or either enroll as a new Member or change/remove/add to their existing Medical plan.

Once a member has enrolled in benefits, they are routed to the Patient Care Specialist (PCS) team. This team works with the patient to schedule their first appointment with their new provider. Once this appointment is confirmed, the patient is then transferred from the PCS team to the New Member Welcome Desk (NMWD) team. This team is currently made up of 25 Medical Assistants - this is the team that our telephonic Medical Assistants will be joining.

The Medical Assistants on the NMWD team work to partner with the patient to complete all of their new-patient paperwork. That way, this is all completed prior to the patient coming in for their first appointment. This information is gathered prior to the first appointment so that the doctor has all of the information ahead of time and can get straight to the care/treatment plan portion of the appointment.
