We are searching for a meticulous Insurance Referral Coordinator to join our healthcare team in Oakland, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating referral appointments, maintaining and updating patient records, verifying eligibility and benefits, obtaining prior authorizations, and providing administrative support. Responsibilities:

• Coordinate referral appointments to ensure seamless patient care

• Maintain and update patient records with the utmost accuracy

• Verify patient eligibility and benefits to avoid any discrepancies

• Obtain prior authorizations for procedures, tests, or medications as needed

• Make outbound calls, as necessary, to handle patient inquiries and concerns

• Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, ensuring smooth daily operations

• Deliver excellent customer service, contributing to a positive patient experience

• Utilize various software including Medisoft for patient intake and referral generation

• Collaborate with team members to provide the best care coordination.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in insurance referral coordination

• Proven proficiency in Insurance Referrals and Verifications

• Demonstrable experience in Referral Coordination and Generation

• Familiarity with Referral Authorization processes

• Experience in Patient Intake and management

• Proficiency in using Medisoft software

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Must possess a problem-solving attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision

• Knowledge of healthcare insurance and related legalities will be an advantage

• A relevant degree or certification in healthcare management or related field is preferred.
