Responsibilities

The Dental Secretary position is responsible for the day to day functions and communication of the CARE Dental clinic front office. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to, answering the phones, scheduling patient appointments, reminder calls, recalls and follow-ups. Assists with referrals, authorizations and insurance eligibility screening. Maintains up-to-date chart information including patient demographics, financial and insurance details and lab documentation. Processes new patient referrals, maintains log books and participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Provides support to Dental clinic staff, other CARE departments and assists with further assignments as required. Must have at least two years of experience working as a dental receptionist.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a dental receptionist required.
  • Cross trained with dental back office a plus.
  • Medical Terminology and bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Pay Range

$26.92 - $33.73 /hour
