  • Opportunity to provide career growth SCHEDULE Monday- Friday 8am- 430pm DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The General Surgery Clinic at UW Medical Center - Montlake offers a range of evaluation and surgical treatment services. Our services include the evaluation and general surgical treatments of cancers and other diseases; treatment of conditions of the colon, rectum and anus; and hernia care. Our experienced, board-certified physicians and medical staff treat patients as individuals, each with his or her own health needs and life goals. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Manages all aspects of new incoming referrals and patient appointments for the SSC Emergency General Surgery program including full registration, insurance verification and insurance prior authorization
  • Demonstrates proficiency with use of multiple business operations computer systems at UWMC including EPIC, Outlook and MS Teams
  • Collect all information necessary for a thorough Medical Review on incoming referrals
  • Ensures that all appointments are well coordinated and records and imaging are present for the patient visit
  • Answer phones and assist with directing callers appropriately
  • Attend meetings and team huddles as required QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty
  • Three years of Patient Support Service experience OR
