WAYS HOME CARE & HEALTH AGENCY, LLC is seeking compassionate and skilled Medical Care Staff to provide high-quality home health services to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will deliver personalized medical and supportive care to help clients maintain independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Monitor clients’ health status and report changes to supervisors and medical personnel

Assist with wound care, catheter care, and other clinical tasks as required

Provide basic nursing care including vital signs monitoring, mobility assistance, and hygiene support

Educate clients and families on health management and care routines

Document all care activities accurately and timely in compliance with agency policies

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate client care

Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Respond promptly to client emergencies following established protocols

Adaptability: Must be comfortable working in various home environments, including those with pets, smokers, or non-traditional family dynamics.

Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting, transferring, or assisting clients with mobility (up to 50 lbs or as needed).

Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the agency.

Punctuality & Dependability: Timeliness is critical for client care and scheduling.

Professional Appearance: Must maintain proper hygiene and wear clean, professional attire.

Previous In-Home Care Experience: Experience working in private homes, home health, or hospice settings is highly valued.

Bilingual or Multilingual: Especially in Spanish, Haitian Creole, French, or other languages common in our service area.

Familiarity with Dementia or Alzheimer’s Care: Special training or hands-on experience with memory care clients.

CPR / First Aid Certification: Even if not required for the role, this is preferred for client safety.

Comfort with Pets: Many clients have pets; comfort around dogs or cats is a plus.

Client-Specific Skills: Experience with Hoyer lifts, catheter care, wound care, or feeding tubes is an advantage.

Long-Term Availability: Preference given to candidates seeking stable, long-term positions with consistent clients.

Strong Documentation Skills: Ability to accurately document care notes electronically or on paper.

Team-Oriented Mindset: Willingness to coordinate with family members, other caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
