Responsibilities

Position Summary

  • Consistent with California Business & Professional Code Vocational Nursing Practice Act and Mercy Medical Center (MMC) LVN's render care to patients under the direction of a licensed physician or Registered Nurse.
  • Collect data that allows the licensed physician or Registered Nurse to assess patients for further needs establish and implement a problem oriented plan of nursing care
  • Implements the plan of nursing care performs technical nursing procedures and provides direct nursing care.
  • Perform routine patient care and para-professional nursing services for adult geriatric adolescent pediatric and neonatal patients in a Family Practice Pediatric and Specialty Clinic.   • Performs other duties to support of the unit such as statistics report preparation and other functions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess and maintain a current LVN license with the state of California.
  • Possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Able to work various shifts and hours

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a doctor's office or clinic.
  • Bilingual

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Pay Range

$27.33 - $36.79/hour
