A Typical Day for a Caregiver/Home Health Aide with WesleyLife at Home/In-Home Services:

  • Ensure the comfort and well-being of clients who live at Halcyon House and in other environments (private homes, other senior living environments) by providing personalized care and assistance.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Administer medications and monitor health conditions under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with transportation needs, including transferring clients to doctor appointments, grocery store visits, and other outings as required. Driving clients to Iowa City for medical appointments is common.
  • Current Openings: Full-time or Part-time. The schedule varies based on client needs and will include weekends and evenings.

Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $14.75 - $21.15 / hour. The starting pay rate will be based on years of experience.
  • Daily Pay: Use this free app to access your wages before payday to handle unexpected expenses.
  • Mileage Reimbursement at 58.5 cents per mile
