Title	Dental Hygienist
Job Description	Clinical Cleanings: Performing prophylaxis (standard cleaning) and Scaling and Root Planing (deep cleaning) to remove plaque and tartar. Patient Assessment: Conducting oral cancer screenings, checking for gum disease (periodontal charting), and reviewing medical histories. Preventive Treatments: Applying fluoride varnishes and dental sealants to protect teeth from decay. Imaging: Capturing and interpreting dental X-rays to identify hidden issues like bone loss or interproximal cavities. Education: Teaching patients proper brushing and flossing techniques and discussing the link between diet and oral health. Anesthesia: Administering local anesthesia or nitrous oxide (depending on state regulations) to keep patients comfortable.
