Duties

Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque and calculus using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments.
Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
Assist with patient assessment by reviewing medical history and documenting findings accurately.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
Operate medical imaging equipment for intraoral radiographs while maintaining proper infection control protocols.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures with specialized techniques for young patients.
Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Document treatment procedures, patient responses, and clinical notes accurately in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Collaborate with dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency.
Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure all clinical areas adhere to infection control standards and maintain proper sterilization of instruments.

Monday to Friday

Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification.

Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics preferred.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical coding practices.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and vital signs measurement.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
