Patient Assessment and Screening: Conduct comprehensive patient screenings, including diagnostic evaluations, review of medical history, oral cancer screening, head and neck examinations, dental charting, and monitoring vital signs (blood pressure and pulse).

Preventive and Therapeutic Care: Perform dental scaling to remove calculus and plaque from all tooth surfaces, and apply preventive dental treatments such as dental sealants and fluoride.

Patient Education: Deliver effective health education and counseling, including teaching oral hygiene techniques and providing nutritional counseling related to oral health and overall wellness.

Diagnostics and Records: Take dental X-rays as required, accurately document all patient information, patient charting, and effectively communicate findings with the dentist.

Compliance and Maintenance: Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations, and perform dental sterilization procedures and routine maintenance of equipment.

Teamwork: Build strong patient rapport and collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure a positive and professional clinical environment.

Potential Operating Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Typical Hours: Shifts generally run during the day (e.g., 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).

Weekends: Saturday and Sunday off.

Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.

Compliance Knowledge: Essential familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations and medical records management (maintaining patient confidentiality).

Skills: Strong clinical skills in dental scaling and dental prophylaxis, knowledge of dental x-rays, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Aptitude: Exceptional time management, organizational abilities, and a high level of dependability and attention to detail.

Experience working in a new or rapidly growing private practice.
