（Part-time） Dental hygienist job at 26 North Dental

Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent and manage oral disease.

Take, record, and accurately document patient vital signs and comprehensive medical histories.

Conduct detailed patient assessments to evaluate oral health status and identify potential issues requiring further diagnosis and treatment.

Provide comprehensive health education and counseling to patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and overall preventive health.

Review and maintain accurate patient records and documentation (patient charting) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols, including dental sterilization and disinfection procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment.

Collaborate effectively with the dentist and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient treatment plans.

Utilize dental office software for efficient scheduling, charting, and managing patient records.

Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).

Current CPR certification.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, oral anatomy, and general dentistry procedures.

Proven ability to perform dental scaling and other preventative procedures.

Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control, sterilization, and aseptic techniques.

Excellent patient care and communication skills for effective patient interaction and health education.

Keen attention to detail in documentation and clinical procedures.

Previous clinical experience that includes pediatric dentistry or working with children.

Proficiency with dental office software (e.g., Curve Dental, Dexis).

Experience with operating medical imaging equipment, such as Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT).

Ability to diagnose and treat periodontal issues.

Experience with intraoral scanners (e.g., iTero Lumina) and discussing Invisalign treatment.
