Title	Dental hygienist
Job Description	Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing to effectively remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct detailed patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, monitoring vital signs, and evaluating current oral health status. Take high-quality dental X-rays (bitewing and others) using appropriate aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Provide clear and effective oral health education and counseling to patients on proper hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Accurately review and update medical records and clinical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring full compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and assist with treatment planning. Maintain a sterile and organized clinical environment, adhering strictly to infection prevention and control expertise, including OSHA safety standards and dental sterilization procedures. Assist in optimizing patient flow efficiently while providing compassionate direct patient care.
Salary Range	【Full-time】 $60.00 〜 $70.00 /hour

Shift & Schedule	Monday 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM Tuesday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Wednesday 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Friday Closed Saturday Closed Sunday Closed
Requirements	Active and unrestricted Dental Hygienist license in the State of Maryland. Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control. Proficiency in patient assessment, dental scaling, and providing preventive health patient care. Demonstrated ability to ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality when managing records. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and health education.
Preferences	3-5 years of Dental Hygienist experience (Mid-level experience). Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Experience with pediatric dentistry or caring for children. Knowledge of medical coding related to dental hygiene services. Experience with chairside assisting during procedures.
