（Part-time） Dental hygienist job position at Pecos Dental

Create a comfortable environment for patients prior to examinations
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment following strict safety protocols
Perform initial mouth screenings and review oral health history
Identify and document oral conditions including gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis
Clean teeth by removing plaque, applying fluoride treatments, and performing other preventive services
Educate patients of all ages on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Take dental X-rays and impressions as needed
Assist dentists in treatment planning and management of oral diseases
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Monitor and manage clinical supplies and equipment maintenance

Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (varied start times depending on day)
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Sunday: Closed

Valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
Diploma in Dental Hygiene is required; Master’s degree is an advantage
Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety standards, including HIPAA compliance
Proven ability to operate and maintain dental and medical equipment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage physically demanding tasks
Experience with patient assessment and preventive care procedures

Experience working in a dental practice or related healthcare setting
Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records
Additional certifications related to patient emergency assistance or advanced dental techniques
