（Full-time） Dental hygienist job at Out of This World Dentistry

Ensure maximum patient comfort before, during, and after examinations and procedures.

Conduct comprehensive initial patient screenings, check oral health history, and perform diagnostic evaluations.

Perform dental prophylaxis (e.g., removing plaque and calculus) and apply protective treatments like fluoride.

Identify and document oral conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis.

Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene techniques, post-operative care, and preventative practices.

Take X-rays (operating medical imaging equipment) and dental impressions as required.

Properly sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments and provide assistance during dental emergencies.

Maintain accurate patient charting and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m.−5:00 p.m. (Specific schedule within this range to be determined).

Valid license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).

Diploma in Dental Hygiene.

Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role.

In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA compliance and sterilization procedures).

Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient personality (great bedside manner).

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job with attention to detail and a steady hand.

Proficient in conducting patient assessment and preventive health care.

Ability to relocate to Draper, UT before starting work.

Master's degree in Dental Hygiene.

Experience treating patients of all ages (pediatric to adult).

Familiarity with medical/dental terminology and documentation review.
