Conduct preliminary oral exams and collect comprehensive oral health histories from patients
Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health
Evaluate patients for signs of periodontal disease, cavities, and oral infections
Collaborate with the dentist in diagnosing and treating periodontal conditions
Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments and other preventive procedures
Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
Capture and document digital X-rays and intraoral photographs accurately using dental software
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations
Maintain patient records with precision and confidentiality
Work closely with the dental team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Promote a positive and welcoming patient experience throughout every appointment

Current Maryland Dental Hygiene license (required)
Minimum 2 years of dental hygiene experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
Familiarity with Eaglesoft dental software, dental lasers, and intraoral cameras is a plus but not mandatory
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate patient-care approach
Ability to maintain a clean, compliant, and safe clinical environment
Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and strong work ethic
