（Full-time） Dental hygienist job at Family Care Health Centers

Welcome patients and escort them to treatment areas in a professional, warm manner.
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth and restorations.
Take and expose dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, diet, nutrition, and preventive care tailored to their needs.
Apply topical fluoride treatments, pit and fissure sealants, and prescribed medicaments.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment and clinical areas, observing universal precautions.
Conduct initial dental examinations to identify abnormalities such as carious lesions and periodontal pockets, and communicate findings to the dentist.
Assist dentists during treatments and diagnostic exams as needed.
Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and oral health metrics.
Manage the patient recall system to ensure consistent follow-up care.
Maintain accurate patient records and comply with data management protocols.
Ensure all dental equipment and instruments are maintained in excellent working condition.
Comply with all continuing education and CPR certification requirements relevant to licensure.
Perform other duties within the scope of practice as assigned.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Graduate of a nationally accredited dental hygiene school, required.
Current license to practice dental hygiene in Missouri in good standing, required.
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) or Licensed Dental Hygienist (LDH) in Missouri, required.
Minimum of one year of relevant work experience preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (certified or with expanded duties) is desirable.
Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively on oral health.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage clinical tasks accurately.
Computer literacy including electronic health records and dental practice software usage.
Valid CPR Certification, and willingness to maintain certification through ongoing education.

Previous dental assisting experience to enhance understanding of dental procedures.
Experience with electronic dental records and patient scheduling systems.
