（Part-time） PART TIME- RDH job position at Cornerstone Family Dental

1. Updates medical history of patient, highlighting significant information for dentist’s review. If
completed online, please complete medical updates on Eaglesoft.
2. Screening patients for facial/oral cancer through intra-oral and extra-oral cancer screening at each
visit.
3. Complete periodontal assessment including periodontal pocket depths, mobility, gum recession,
and furcation involvement. (Annually; and for recall patients)
4. Takes x-rays to determine extent of any decay and disease. Takes intra-oral photos to review with
the patient or use for monitoring areas of concern. Takes panoramic images as needed. (Annually;
and for recall patients)
5. Documents area of existing restorations and notable areas of possible decay and disease for
dentists’ review.
6. Administers prophylactic treatment by the scaling and polishing of teeth. Treatment of periodontal
disease through SRP.
7. Instructs patients in oral hygiene technique, answering patient questions and providing other
education information relevant to oral hygiene.
8. Administers fluoride treatment as needed.
9. Reviews and explains any treatment diagnosed or prescribed, including treatment planning and
scheduling necessary appointments.
10. Practices universal precautions and other sterilization and infection control procedures, and
maintains equipment.
11. Complete sealants as needed.
12. Helps maintain overall cleanliness and organization of office.
13. Sharpening instruments.

Active Missouri Registered Dental Hygienist License
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in a family dental practice or similar setting
Familiarity with digital dental records and imaging technology
