Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Assess patient oral health and provide treatment recommendations based on findings.
Document patient medical history, vital signs, and treatment plans accurately using EMR systems.
Assist dentists with chairside procedures, applying four-handed dentistry techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and importance of routine dental care.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to promote patient safety.
Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Open Dental for scheduling, documentation, and patient record management.
Perform medical imaging including panoramic, bitewing, and occlusal x-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness to support efficient practice operations.

Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license in New Mexico.
Experience in a dental office or clinic setting preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is a plus.
Proficiency with EMR systems and dental software (Open Dental, Eaglesoft).
Strong understanding of medical and dental terminology, anatomy, and patient assessment techniques.
Ability to perform vital signs assessments and maintain accurate medical records.
Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control standards.
Excellent communication skills focused on patient education and care.

Experience with medical coding and documentation review.
Mid-level dental hygiene experience.
Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
