（Full-time） Full Time Dental Hygienist job position at Walker & Krause Dental Team

- Perform thorough dental cleanings including scaling, root planning, polishing

- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and charting

- Apply preventive treatments: fluoride varnishes, sealants, topical antibiotics

- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, disease prevention, and care plans

- Administer local anesthetic when necessary

- Take digital intraoral X-rays (bitewings, periapicals) and panoramic X-rays

- Collaborate with dentists to develop customized treatment plans

- Monitor and document patient medical/dental history and maintain current records

- Adhere to infection control protocols, OSHA and EPA guidelines

- Maintain sterilization and instrument processing systems with the help of sterilization technician

- Assist with patient flow management

- Work Hours: Monday-Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4 PM; (Friday available) : 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM.
- Breaks: 60-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
- Overtime: Overtime available during busy seasons and paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
- Weekend Work: No weekend shifts required.
- Scheduled time off for Christmas/New Years, Spring break, Memorial Day, 4th of July, end of summer (August), & Thanksgiving

• Excellent communication skills
• Clinical expertise in all aspects of dental hygiene, including prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, periodontal charting, local anesthetic administration, x-rays, and oral hygiene instruction
• Willing to work and collaborate as a team player in a busy, fast-paced practice
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently while staying on schedule
