Dental hygienist

Job Description

Work closely with dentists to deliver recommended clinical treatments (scaling, polishing, etc.) to prevent and control periodontal disease.
Perform dental prophylaxis, apply topical fluorides, examine teeth, and assist with dental procedures as needed.
Take, develop, and evaluate dental radiographs.
Administer minor treatments under dentist supervision.
Complete patient charting, including dental/medical histories, tooth charting, and social history.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and review treatment recommendations.
Record and document patient vital signs prior to dental care.
Assist in developing preventive care programs for patients.
Participate in maintenance and sterilization of dental equipment.
Attend office trainings, meetings, and continuing education classes.

Salary Range 【Full-time】 $76,000.00 〜 $98,000.00 /year

Shift & Schedule

Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 6:00pm (last patient check-in at 5:30pm)
Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm (last patient check-in at 4:30pm)

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
Current license to practice Dental Hygiene in the State of Wisconsin
Strong ability to manage patient flow and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Respectful, empathetic, and able to provide care to patients from diverse backgrounds
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and adherence to charting protocols
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed within our clinic schedule
Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to treating every patient with dignity, respect, and professionalism

Preferences

Previous hygiene experience preferred; experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is a plus
