（Part-time） Dental hygienist job at Icon Dental

What You’ll Do:

• Assess gum health, check for signs of periodontal disease, and provide early intervention when needed.
• Take and review digital X-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Maintain detailed patient records using Open Dental (training available)
• Guide patients on proper brushing and flossing techniques for optimal at-home care.
• Provide tailored recommendations for oral care products, such as electric toothbrushes, mouthwashes, and interdental cleaners.
• Discuss the impact of nutrition and lifestyle habits (such as smoking, grinding, and sugar intake) on oral health.
• Collaborate with dentists, assistants, and front office staff to create a seamless patient experience.
• Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere, ensuring patients feel comfortable and valued.
• Accurately document patient histories, exam findings, and treatment progress in digital records.
• Work closely with the dentist to develop personalized treatment plans that align with each patient's needs.
• Track and schedule follow-up visits to ensure patients receive continuous care.

Work Hours:

•Tuesdays & Fridays, 9 AM – 5 PM

What You Need:

• Valid Dental Hygiene License in the applicable state
• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Certification in dental radiography (X-Ray Certified)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team
