（Part-time） Dental hygienist job at Gulf Gate Dental

Patient Care:

Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement of teeth.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as required.
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to teeth.
- Chart and record patient’s medical and dental history.
- Assist the dentist during exams and procedures.
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and other diagnostic tests.
- Take impressions for dental appliances and molds.

Education and Preventive Care:
- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and oral hygiene techniques.
- Provide nutritional counseling and advice on how diet affects oral health.
- Discuss the importance of regular dental visits for long-term oral health.

Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed.
- Assist in managing patient appointments, reminders, and follow-ups.

Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to infection control standards and safety protocols.
Maintain sterilization of dental equipment and instruments.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
