- Examine patients for signs of oral diseases, such as gum disease, cavities, and abnormalities.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, interpreting results and sharing findings with the dentist.
- Provide education and instruction to patients on proper brushing, flossing, and other oral hygiene practices.
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to prevent tooth decay.
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and other treatments.
- Record and maintain accurate patient medical histories and dental charts.
- Monitor and track patient progress, offering recommendations for improvement when needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Stay current with dental hygiene advancements, new technologies, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards within the dental practice.
- Help create a comfortable and positive patient experience.
