（Full-time） Registered Dental Hygienist job position at Dundee Dental

Our Hygienists are the heart of our office. We want to have a good rapport between our patients and clinicians. Our goal is to educate good oral hygiene practices. We do regular prophies, scaling and root planning, periodontal maintenance cleanings and full mouth debridements when needed.

We are a family-oriented general practice that has been taking care of the families in and around Dundee for over 30 years and we are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote great oral hygiene practices. Our office is a two-doctor practice and are looking for a caring hygienist that is team-oriented and to add onto our family.

The position would be for
Mondays 8-5
Tuesdays 8-5
Every other Wednesday 8:15-4
Thursdays 8-5
Fridays 8-4:15
We have major holidays and weekends off.

We have a digital office which includes digital x-rays and paperless patient charts. We currently use Dentrix for our software.

Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Go over the Medical History forms that are in the computer
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take digital X-rays
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies
Skills

In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession such as HIPAA & OSHA
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Dentrix knowledge
Valid Michigan license in Dental Hygiene, Nitrous and local anesthetic license
