Dental Hygienist

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care and Cleaning:
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth from decay.
Take and develop dental X-rays for diagnostic purposes.
Oral Health Education:
Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and oral hygiene techniques.
Provide dietary advice related to oral health.
Discuss the importance of regular dental check-ups and preventive care.
Clinical Duties:
Conduct preliminary patient examinations, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
Assess oral health conditions and report findings to the dentist.
Assist in detecting signs of oral diseases, such as cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer.
Infection Control and Office Duties:
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Collaboration:
Work closely with dentists and other dental team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding during procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program.
State licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
Proficiency in dental software and X-ray technology.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling instruments.
Commitment to patient care and education.

Work hours 6:30am- 4pm. Monday- Thursday. Arrive 6:30am. First pt at 7:00am. Last pt at 3pm.
