（Part-time） Temporary Dentist job at Highland Family Dentistry

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Assess patients’ oral health by performing thorough exams to identify issues such as cavities, gum disease, and other oral health concerns. Utilize diagnostic tools and x-rays to develop treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Perform professional cleanings, scaling, and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and bacteria buildup. Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to prevent cavities and strengthen enamel. Provide periodontal care, including deep cleaning (scaling and root planing), when needed.
• Help patients understand the importance of proper oral hygiene by demonstrating techniques for brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash. Educate patients on the links between oral health and overall health, including the risks of gum disease, tooth decay, and other conditions.
Discuss dietary habits and how they impact oral health.
• Guide patients on preventive measures, including regular checkups, proper care techniques, and lifestyle changes to improve their oral health. Address any concerns related to common dental problems like sensitivity, bad breath, and plaque buildup, and recommend appropriate treatment options.
• Ensure all patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes are recorded accurately and kept up to date in patient files. Document any changes in health status, treatments, and follow-up care in compliance with healthcare standards and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff. Sterilize dental tools and equipment according to the highest standards to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Keep the dental office clean and organized, maintaining compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Work Hours:

• Must be available for the May 26 – May 29 schedule
• 8 hours per week

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general dentistry
• Strong diagnostic skills, excellent patient care, and the ability to work well under pressure.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
