Warmly welcome patients by name and provide a personal introduction upon arrival.
Assist patients in completing intake forms and ensure accuracy of patient demographic and clinical information.
Obtain and update patient insurance details promptly.
Educate patients on next steps and coordinate smooth hand-offs to dental assistants or clinicians.
Monitor patient wait times, proactively address delays, and communicate effectively with patients to manage expectations.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure every patient visit exceeds expectations and take corrective action if needed.
Support onboarding and training of new front desk staff members.
Update treatment plans in the system as directed by the treating dentist; collect and post patient payments accurately.
Work closely with the Office Manager and dentists to optimize scheduling and patient flow.
Monitor computer systems for late arrivals and missed appointments; follow up with patients to confirm or reschedule appointments promptly.
Perform daily appointment confirmations and insurance verifications.
Handle general office duties including mail distribution, filing, pulling patient charts, conducting daily chart audits, ordering supplies, and managing shipping/receiving and shredding of protected health information.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional reception area including patient entrances, waiting rooms, and restrooms.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

High School diploma or GED required.
1 to 3 years of dental front desk or receptionist experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Physical ability to stand, walk, talk, and input data into computer systems for extended periods.

Experience with Dentrix dental software highly preferred.
