Description Job Title: Bilingual Front Office Receptionist (Cantonese/Mandarin) - Part-Time

Location: San Jose, CA

Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Pay Rate: $21-$23/hr. Weekly pay!

Job Description: As our Bilingual Front Office Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors. You’ll play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere while managing a variety of administrative tasks. Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is required, as you will be assisting a significant number of Mandarin or Cantonese-speaking clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer all Call Center incoming calls and properly route calls via appropriate transfer, message taking, or follow-up and return call.
  • Monitor calls on hold to prevent long wait times.
  • Relay patient questions, requests, and other calls to the appropriate person/department.
  • Schedule, reschedule and/or cancel medical appointments as requested by the patient and in accordance with Appointment Scheduling Policy.
  • Collect, update, and verify all pertinent patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Communicate regularly with the supervisor on the status of operations, patient access, medical records, insurance coverage updates and any other related issues.
  • Communicate with outside specialists’ offices, and other clinics and hospitals.
  • May provide administrative support to health care providers and management.
  • May collect payments from patients in accordance with AACIs policies of handling cash.
  • Complete other duties and related projects as assigned.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries in both English and Cantonese/Mandarin.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin, with strong communication skills in English, required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a dental or healthcare environment
  • Prior experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of community primary care and mental health comparable outpatient clinic operations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong interpersonal skills.

Pay Details: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
