（Full-time） Dental assistant job at Rockaway Beach Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry

Key Responsibilities:

Assist orthodontists with clinical procedures, including fitting braces, adjusting wires, and taking Itero Scans.
Provide chairside assistance during patient appointments.
Take digital x-rays, photos of patients' teeth as needed.
Prepare examination areas, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use.
Educate patients about oral hygiene and care during orthodontic treatment.
Assist in removing orthodontic appliances and ensuring patients understand their follow-up instructions.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures and progress.
Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Ensure a warm and friendly environment, especially for all patients, to help alleviate any anxiety.
Qualifications:

Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant is preferred.
Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and patient care protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging systems is a plus.
CPR and Radiology Certification preferred.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
