Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a highly motivated Dental Assistant who shares our commitment to excellence in patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a similar setting is preferred, though we welcome recent graduates from accredited programs who demonstrate enthusiasm and dedication to their craft.


Duties

Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
Take and record vital signs and medical history for patients
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies while maintaining strict infection control protocols
Operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture accurate diagnostic images
Manage electronic health records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Provide patient education on procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices
Assist with sterilization processes and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following aseptic techniques
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
Maintain knowledge of dental terminology across various specialties including pediatrics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry

Monday to Friday

RDA license required

Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred
Familiarity with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, medical documentation, and infection control practices
Experience operating dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is advantageous
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and procedures is a plus
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards
Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and general healthcare practices
Certification in dental assisting or related field is desirable but not mandatory; relevant on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates
