（Part-time） Dental assistant job at Hudson Dental Arts - West Coxsackie

Clinical Support: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures; perform timely setup and breakdown of operatories to ensure a seamless daily schedule.

Patient Interaction: Greet and escort patients to treatment rooms, review and document health histories, and ensure all consent forms are signed prior to treatment.

Imaging & Impressions: Capture and develop X-rays, CBCT scans, and other radiographs; take impressions and bite registrations for temporary prosthetics.

Sterilization & Safety: Sterilize all instruments and handpieces according to OSHA and CDC regulations; maintain a safe and sterile clinical environment through rigorous infection control.

Patient Education: Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, present treatment options based on doctor recommendations, and provide clear post-operative care instructions.

Administration & Documentation: Record treatment information accurately using FUSE dental software; assist with medical scheduling and managing patient records in compliance with HIPAA.

Operations: Monitor and send out dental laboratory cases; keep operatories stocked and organized, placing orders for supplies as necessary.

Certification Incentive: An additional $2.00 per hour for certified candidates.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Solid understanding of dental terminology and general dental health subjects.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to patients from diverse backgrounds.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain composure in stressful or high-pressure situations.

Willingness to work at multiple practice locations and adhere to established business hours.

One (1) year of previous experience as a Dental Assistant.

Valid Dental Assistant License/Certification.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience with FUSE or similar dental practice management software.

Proven expertise in healthcare infection prevention and specialized equipment cleaning.
