（Part-time） Pediatric Registered Dental Assistant job at Jennifer Ryan DDS

Chairside Assisting: Efficiently assist the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) with a wide range of treatment procedures tailored for pediatric patients.

Preventative Care: Perform coronal polishing, fluoride treatments, and dental sealant application.

Radiography: Take and process dental X-rays (operating medical imaging equipment).

Patient Education: Provide health education and counseling to patients and guardians, teaching proper oral hygiene strategies such as correct brushing and flossing techniques.

Sterilization: Ensure strict adherence to all dental sterilization and disinfection procedures for instruments and operatory rooms.

Treatment Support: Prepare treatment rooms, manage supplies, and ensure a smooth flow for patient appointments.

Regular Schedule:

Tuesdays: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Fridays: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Occasional Shift:

Thursdays (on occasion): 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Certification: Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license/registration.

Experience: Proven experience in chairside assisting with patient treatment procedures.

Clinical Skills: Proficiency in tooth polishing and the application of fluoride treatment.

Safety: Comprehensive knowledge of dental sterilization and disinfection procedures.

Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with children and their families (pediatric dentistry experience).

Imaging: Ability to operate medical imaging equipment for taking X-rays.

Specialization: Experience specifically within a pediatric dental setting.

Licensure: Valid Dental Sealant Certification or license to apply dental sealants.

Education: Experience providing oral health education and counseling to patients.
