（Part-time） Dental assistant job at Sunny Day Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics

Assist dentists chairside during general, endodontic, and prosthodontic procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
Prepare and maintain the clinical area adhering to aseptic and infection control protocols
Take and develop dental X-rays following safety standards
Use EMR systems (Curve or Dentrix preferred) for accurate patient documentation and record management
Conduct preliminary patient assessments including vital signs and medical histories
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative instructions, and treatment plans
Manage dental supplies inventory ensuring timely restocking and maintenance
Support clinic operations with scheduling and occasional front desk duties
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental terminology, practices, and pediatric dentistry

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekends closed

Prior experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting
Proficiency with EMR systems; familiarity with Curve or Dentrix highly preferred
Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards
Skilled in chairside assisting including four-handed dentistry
Ability to operate dental imaging equipment, including 3D scanners
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interaction

Experience with medical coding and documentation
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures
Organizational skills for inventory and clinic operations management
