（Full-time） Dental Assistant job at Family Health Center of Worcester

Program Specific Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Maintains supplies and equipment including x-ray developers/processor and pour models.
Works with the dentist to improve their skills to function as independently as legal regulations permit; and is scheduled to be chair-side with the dentist in the practice, therefore the position requires flexible work hours according to the needs of the department.
Receives and prepares patients
Charts dental records,
Updates medical and dental histories and assists in maintaining dental records.
Sterilizes dental instruments including hand pieces and disinfecting operatories according to established guidelines and after each patient.
Any and all other duties as assigned.

This position reports to the Director of Dental Services

Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5pm

One of the following combinations of education and employment experience must be met in order to be considered for the position:

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED required

• Training certification as a Dental Assistant preferred

• One year relevant experience preferred

• Demonstrated proficiency with a dental electronic record(EDR) strongly preferred

• Must hold current MA Licensure to practice as a Dental Assistant

• Must have a current BLS certification

• Certification in radiology is required
