（Part-time） Dental assistant job position at Autumnwood Dental

```Duties```
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take dental x-rays
- Complete intra-oral scans for procedures
- Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule patient appointments

```Skills```
- Infection control: Knowledge of proper infection control protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Medical documentation: Ability to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Patient assessment: Proficiency in assessing patients' oral health conditions and identifying any issues or concerns
- Eaglesoft: Experience using Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software to schedule appointments, manage patient records, and process billing
- Vital signs: Ability to measure and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse rate
- Medical terminology: Familiarity with dental and medical terminology to effectively communicate with the dentist and other healthcare professionals
- Assisting: Competence in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures, including chairside support and instrument handling
- Medical coding: Knowledge of dental coding systems (e.g., CDT codes) for accurate billing and insurance claims processing
- Dental assisting: Proficiency in providing chairside assistance to the dentist, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort

This practice is a surgery and sedation heavy practice. Applicant must have no aversion to graphic surgical procedures and must be willing and able to successfully complete the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Exam within 1 year.

Mondays 730AM to 5PM (mandatory)
Tues-Thurs 730AM to 6PM (flexible)
Fridays 730AM to 5PM (mandatory)

This practice is a surgery and sedation heavy practice. Applicant must have no aversion to graphic surgical procedures and must be willing and able to successfully complete the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Exam within 1 year.

Must have at least 2 years of clinical experience.

Must have RDA registration
Must have BLS

Lead RDA experience preferred

DAANCE certification highly preferred
