Assist the dentist during procedures utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient care.
Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Perform dental X-rays and operate imaging equipment with adherence to radiation safety standards.
Manage and maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation using EMR systems, including Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans to promote positive dental health outcomes.
Monitor vital signs and patient comfort, especially supporting pediatric patients with a gentle, calming approach.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with clinic and HIPAA protocols to safeguard patient confidentiality.
Assist with appointment scheduling and front desk responsibilities as necessary to ensure smooth office operations.

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting, with strong proficiency in four-handed dentistry.
Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish or other language relevant to patient population).
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection prevention and control practices.
Experience in operating dental imaging equipment, including proficiency with 3D scanning (e.g., Itero) considered a plus.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Proficient with electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and team members.
Strong attention to detail while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with children.
Prior exposure to dental receptionist or medical administrative support duties.
Knowledge in dry heat sterilization and ultrasonic cleaning infection control methods.
Background in health education and patient counseling.
